The Department of Energy Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management published a Notice of Availability on December 20, 2024 for the 2024 LNG Export Study, a multi-volume analysis updating DOE's understanding of U.S. LNG export effects on the domestic economy, household energy costs, energy security, and global greenhouse gas emissions. The Study comprises a summary report and four appendices using multiple modeling frameworks including GCAM, NEMS, and NETL consequential lifecycle analysis. DOE will use the Study to inform public interest determinations in 14 pending non-FTA LNG export application proceedings. Comments are due by February 18, 2025. DOE will not revise the Study based on comments received.12
