This is a withdrawal of a 2019 Notice of Intent to prepare a Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Amite River and Tributaries-East of the Mississippi River, Louisiana, Flood Risk Management Feasibility Study. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) New Orleans District is withdrawing the NOI because the revised tentatively selected plan (TSP), a nonstructural-only plan for voluntary elevation of eligible residential structures and floodproofing of eligible nonresidential structures, is not expected to result in significant environmental impacts requiring an EIS. The USACE instead prepared a Supplemental Second Draft Integrated Feasibility Report with Environmental Assessment (SSDIFR/EA), which was available for a 45-day public review ending January 29, 2024.12
