FERC has prepared an environmental assessment (EA) for Columbia Gulf Transmission, LLC's proposed abandonment of approximately 21 miles of obsolete natural gas pipeline and related appurtenances in Cameron Parish, Louisiana (Docket No. CP24-37-000). The project would abandon in place and by removal segments of three pipelines (16-inch, 12-inch, and 6-inch diameter) and two metering and regulating stations. FERC staff concludes the action does not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the human environment, and no alternative offers a significant environmental advantage over the proposed action.
