The Department of the Air Force signed a Record of Decision on October 3, 2024, selecting Whiteman AFB, Missouri as the B-21 bomber Main Operating Base 2 (MOB 2) and Dyess AFB, Texas as MOB 3. MOB 2 at Whiteman will establish B-21 Operations Squadrons and new infrastructure; MOB 3 at Dyess will additionally include a Weapons Generation Facility, Weapons Instructor Course, and an Operations Test and Evaluation squadron. The ROD followed a Final EIS made available May 24, 2024, and incorporated input from Native American Tribes, the public, and regulatory agencies.12
