EPA announced availability of the final "Biofuels and the Environment: Third Triennial Report to Congress" (EPA/600/R-24/343F), prepared by EPA's Offices of Research and Development and Air and Radiation in consultation with USDA and DOE. Required by Section 204 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, this third triennial report updates prior 2011 and 2018 assessments of the Renewable Fuel Standard Program's environmental and resource conservation impacts, covering air, water, and soil quality; ecosystem health and biodiversity; and a new attribution analysis separating RFS effects from other drivers of biofuel production. This is a notice of availability, not a NEPA EIS or EA.12
