The Bureau of Land Management has released a Proposed Resource Management Plan (RMP) and Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, covering 170,407 acres across Jackson and Klamath Counties in Oregon and Siskiyou County in California, with a decision area of approximately 113,500 acres of BLM-administered lands. The Final EIS analyzes five alternatives: No Action (Alternative A), three action alternatives (B, C, D) from the Draft EIS, and a Proposed RMP (Alternative E) based largely on Alternative C. This notice announces a 30-day protest period beginning after EPA publishes its Notice of Availability; after protests are resolved, the BLM will issue a Record of Decision and Approved RMP.12
