FERC staff has prepared an environmental assessment (EA) for the Cedar Vale Compressor Station Project, proposed by Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, Inc. (Docket No. CP25-19-000). Southern Star seeks authorization to construct, own, and operate a new compressor station in Osage County, Oklahoma, consisting of a 6,091-horsepower Solar Centaur 50 turbine compressor unit, approximately 1,028 feet of piping, and appurtenant facilities. The project would add up to 98,000 dekatherms per day of incremental firm capacity in Southern Star's Market Area and approximately 35,000 dekatherms per day in its Production Area, serving customers in Kansas and Missouri. FERC staff concludes the project would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment. Comments are due October 20, 2025.12
