The NRC issued Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-62 to Constellation Energy Generation, LLC for Clinton Power Station, Unit 1, a boiling water reactor in DeWitt County, Illinois, on December 16, 2025. The renewed license authorizes operation at up to 3,473 megawatts thermal. The NRC also issued a Record of Decision on the same date, supported by a final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (NUREG-1437, Supplement 63, August 2025), which found that the adverse environmental impacts of license renewal are not so great that preserving the renewal option for energy-planning decisionmakers would be unreasonable.12
