The NRC issued an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for a license amendment requested by Energy Northwest for Columbia Generating Station in Benton County, Washington. The amendment revises the Columbia Emergency Plan by updating the emergency response organization (ERO) staffing plan to align with NUREG-0654/FEMA-REP-1, Revision 2 guidance, removing references to non-minimum augmenting ERO positions from the plan while retaining those positions in implementing procedures. The NRC found no significant radiological or non-radiological environmental impacts because the action involves no construction, no changes to plant operations, and no changes to effluent types or quantities.1
