BOEM announces a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the final Environmental Assessment analyzing the issuance of up to two commercial wind energy leases in the Oregon Wind Energy Areas on the U.S. Pacific Outer Continental Shelf. The EA evaluated the Proposed Action and a No Action Alternative, covering site characterization activities (geophysical, geotechnical, archaeological, and biological surveys) and site assessment activities including meteorological buoy installation. BOEM concluded that lease issuance, associated rights-of-way, and rights-of-use and easement grants would not significantly impact the human environment.
