The Department of the Navy and U.S. Marine Corps have filed a Revised Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Joint Military Training (CJMT) project, analyzing construction and operation of new land-based training infrastructure within the Military Lease Area on Tinian, CNMI. Three alternatives are analyzed: two action alternatives with varying training infrastructure and tempos, and a No Action Alternative. Potential impacts include effects on biological resources, cultural and historic properties, noise, groundwater, and socioeconomics. A 75-day public comment period runs from June 6 to August 20, 2025, with five in-person public meetings on Tinian, Saipan, and Rota.12
