EPA has prepared a Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA No. N2025023) and issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for its Community Grants Program, which provides grant funding for the planning, design, and construction of drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects and water quality protection projects funded through Community Project Funding and Congressionally Directed Spending. EPA's preliminary determination is that no significant environmental impacts are anticipated from issuing these grants. The 30-day public comment period closes May 19, 2025.

EPA has prepared a Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA, EPA No. N2025023) and issued a preliminary Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Community Grants Program, which funds planning, design, and construction of drinking water, wastewater, stormwater infrastructure, and water quality protection projects identified in Annual Appropriations Acts. The proposed federal action is approving or denying grant applications under the program. EPA concluded that no significant adverse environmental impacts are anticipated nationwide, making an EIS unnecessary. A 30-day public comment period closes May 19, 2025.
