The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) issued this Amended Record of Decision (AROD) on July 12, 2024, authorizing continued operation of the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) and three off-site Nevada locations under the 2013 Site-Wide EIS (DOE/EIS-0426). A 2024 Supplement Analysis evaluated projects and changes at the NNSS, Tonopah Test Range, North Las Vegas Facility, and Remote Sensing Laboratory-Nellis that have occurred or are expected within five years, including facility modernization, expansion of the Device Assembly Facility and U1a Complex, a new radioactive waste disposal cell, and solar energy projects. NNSA determined impacts are not significantly different from those in the original SWEIS and no additional NEPA documentation is required.123
