The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for a license amendment request by Accelerated Decommissioning Partners Crystal River Unit 3, LLC (ADP) to approve the License Termination Plan (LTP) for Crystal River Nuclear Power Station, Unit 3, in Citrus County, Florida. The NRC evaluated two alternatives: approving the LTP and a no-action alternative. Most resource areas were bounded by the Decommissioning Generic EIS with SMALL impact levels, though the NRC conducted site-specific analysis for six resource areas and radioactive waste management, finding no significant impacts. A FONSI was issued; no EIS will be prepared.12
