The Alabama Trustee Implementation Group (Alabama TIG), composed of federal and state agencies, has finalized Restoration Plan IV and Environmental Assessment under the Deepwater Horizon Oil Pollution Act natural resource damage assessment framework. The Final RP/EA evaluates 11 restoration alternatives across five categories: wetlands/coastal/nearshore habitats, nutrient reduction, birds, oysters, and recreational opportunities. Seven alternatives were selected for implementation at a total estimated cost of approximately $24,000,000. A Finding of No Significant Impact was issued.
