The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued Subsequent Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-19 and DPR-25 to Constellation Energy Generation, LLC for Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3, a boiling water reactor site near Morris, Illinois, on December 16, 2025. The licenses authorize continued operation at up to 2,957 megawatts thermal for an additional 20-year period. The accompanying Record of Decision relies on the final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (NUREG-1437, Supplement 17, Second Renewal, September 2025), which concluded that adverse environmental impacts of subsequent license renewal are not so great as to make preserving that option unreasonable for energy planning decisionmakers.12
