The Bureau of Land Management has published a Notice of Availability for the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Dry Creek Trona Mine Project in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. The EIS analyzed four alternatives. BLM selected Alternative D as the Preferred Alternative, which involves a larger 7,015-acre footprint but relocates processing facilities to a site north of I-80 roughly 8 miles west of Green River. That relocation reduces water supply pipeline disturbance from 24.66 miles to 6.4 miles and eliminates impacts to the Flaming Gorge Recreation Area and the Blacks Fork Priority Habitat Management Area for Greater Sage-Grouse. BLM will not issue a decision for at least 30 days after EPA publishes its own NOA.12
