This is a 15-day extension of the public comment period for the Draft Amended Analysis to the Final Environmental Impact Statement for EA-18G Growler Airfield Operations at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island Complex. The Department of the Navy extended the original April 28, 2025 deadline to May 13, 2025. The Draft Amended Analysis addresses four deficiencies identified by a federal court in 2022: inadequate disclosure of greenhouse gas emissions calculations, failure to quantify noise impacts on classroom learning, insufficient species-specific analysis of bird impacts, and inadequate consideration of the El Centro, California, alternative.
