The Department of the Army published a Notice of Availability on December 16, 2024, for a draft Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) covering two Force Provider containerized basecamp systems: the Energy Efficient Rigid Wall Module (E2RWM) and the Expeditionary Platoon Life Support Module (EPLSM). The PEA evaluates potential environmental impacts from design, production, testing, training, fielding, demilitarization, and disposal of both systems, along with a No Action alternative. The analysis is programmatic and intended to streamline future site-specific environmental reviews when deployment decisions are made at particular locations. Public comments are due 30 days after Federal Register publication.12
