The Federal Transit Administration and Sound Transit issued this Notice of Intent to prepare an EIS for the Everett Link Extension, a proposed 16-mile light rail extension from Lynnwood City Center Station to the Everett Station area in Snohomish County, Washington, along with a new Operations and Maintenance Facility North. The EIS will evaluate a No Build Alternative and multiple Build Alternatives for the alignment and three OMF North site options. Anticipated impact areas include transportation, land use, displacements, historic and cultural resources, ecosystems, noise, and wetlands. The scoping comment period closes August 28, 2025, with a Draft EIS targeted for early 2026 and a ROD by summer 2027.1
