This is a Notice of Intent to prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the relicensing of the 3.3-megawatt Forestport Hydroelectric Project No. 4900, located on the Black River in Oneida County, New York. Forestport Hydro, LLC filed the relicense application on February 27, 2025. FERC staff determined, based on the record including comments on the REA notice, that licensing is not expected to constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the human environment. The EA is scheduled for issuance on November 23, 2026, with a 30-day public comment period to follow.12
