The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued a Draft Supplement 61 to the Generic Environmental Impact Statement for License Renewal of Nuclear Plants (NUREG-1437), covering Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, located in Ohio. This is a procedural Notice of Availability published by the EPA listing newly filed EIS documents for the week of August 26 to August 30, 2024. The substantive environmental analysis is contained in the draft EIS itself, not in this notice. Public comments on the draft are due by October 21, 2024.1
