The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued a Notice of Intent to prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA) for a non-capacity amendment to the Georgetown Project No. 2187, filed by Public Service Company of Colorado on April 3, 2025. The project is on South Clear Creek in Georgetown and Clear Creek counties, Colorado, on U.S. Forest Service lands. The licensee is constructing a stream bypass pipeline to temporarily divert up to 200 cubic feet per second around the Forebay Reservoir and Dam to address dam safety and water quality concerns while supporting water management until the dam is decommissioned. The EA is scheduled for completion by November 12, 2025.12
