The NRC issued an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for Global Laser Enrichment, LLC's (GLE) proposed revision to its Standard Practice Procedures Plan (SPPP) for classified matter protection. The revision removes the Fuels Growth Engineering (FGE) facility in Wilmington, North Carolina from the SPPP while maintaining classified matter controls at the Test Loop facility. The NRC staff assessed impacts across all resource areas and concluded no significant radiological or non-radiological environmental impacts would result. The no-action alternative would impose continued costs on GLE without environmental benefit.12
