FERC is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) for ANR Pipeline Company's Heartland Project (Docket No. CP25-79-000), which would expand ANR's existing natural gas system in Wisconsin and Illinois to provide up to 473,000 dekatherms per day of incremental firm transportation service. The project includes approximately 68.9 miles of new pipeline looping, 1.5 miles of pipeline replacement, three new greenfield compressor stations totaling 25,150 horsepower, one additional compressor unit at an existing station, and new and upgraded meter stations across ten counties. The EA is scheduled for issuance on October 10, 2025, with a 30-day comment period, and a federal authorization decision deadline of January 8, 2026. Cooperating agencies include EPA and two Wisconsin state agencies.12
