Notice of Availability of the Record of Decision for the Jove Solar Project, La Paz County, Arizona

The Bureau of Land Management issued a Record of Decision on January 3, 2025, approving a 30-year right-of-way grant for the Jove Solar Project in La Paz County, Arizona. The project covers 3,495 acres of BLM-administered public lands and 38 acres of county land, and will install up to 1.2 million solar photovoltaic modules with a generation capacity of 600 megawatts or more. Power will connect to the Cielo Azul Switchyard adjacent to the Ten West Link 500-kilovolt transmission line. This ROD constitutes the final decision of the Department of the Interior and is not subject to appeal.

Notice of Availability of the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Jove Solar Project, La Paz County, Arizona

The Bureau of Land Management announces the availability of the Final EIS for the Jove Solar Project in southeastern La Paz County, Arizona. Applicant Jove Solar, LLC seeks a 30-year right-of-way for 3,495 acres of BLM-administered public land and 38 acres of county land to construct a 600 MWac utility-scale solar PV facility interconnecting to the Ten West Link 500 kV transmission line. The Final EIS analyzes three alternatives; BLM has selected the Wash Avoidance Alternative as preferred because it reduces impacts to native vegetation, wildlife movement, and natural drainage. A Record of Decision is anticipated in December 2024.
