FERC is preparing an Environmental Assessment for PacifiCorp's application to decommission and administratively remove the Fall Creek Development from the Klamath Hydroelectric Project No. 2082 license. The project is on the Klamath River and Fall Creek in Klamath County, Oregon, and Siskiyou County, California, on lands managed by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. PacifiCorp proposes to cease power generation, disconnect generating units, drain fluids, and convey the infrastructure and associated lands to the City of Yreka, California for water supply purposes. No construction or ground-disturbing activities are proposed. FERC plans to issue the EA by April 15, 2026, followed by a 30-day public comment period.12
