The Bureau of Land Management issued a Record of Decision on December 5, 2024, approving a right-of-way grant for the Lava Ridge Wind Project in Jerome, Lincoln, and Minidoka Counties, Idaho. The ROD authorizes Magic Valley Energy to construct, operate, and decommission a wind-powered electrical generation facility on BLM-managed public lands, with up to 231 wind turbines and related infrastructure. The ROW covers 57,447 acres total, with siting corridors of 38,535 acres and an estimated ground disturbance of 3,926 acres on public lands. The decision is final and not subject to appeal under DOI regulations.123
