Notice of Availability of a Record of Decision for Expected Wind Energy Development in the New York Bight

BOEM announces the availability of a Record of Decision (ROD) based on the final programmatic EIS for wind energy development in six lease areas of the New York Bight. The ROD selects Sub-alternative C1, identification of AMMM measures at the programmatic stage using previously applied measures, as the preferred alternative. It identifies 58 AMMM measures that BOEM will apply as conditions of approval for construction and operations plans submitted by the six NY Bight lessees. This ROD concludes the programmatic NEPA process; project-specific analyses will tier from or incorporate the PEIS by reference.

Environmental Impact Statements; Notice of Availability

This is a weekly EPA Notice of Availability listing three Environmental Impact Statements filed between October 11 and October 21, 2024: a Draft EIS by the U.S. Air Force for the 492nd Special Operations Wing Beddown in Arizona (comment period closes December 9, 2024); a Draft EIS by the Missile Defense Agency for the Enhanced Integrated Air and Missile Defense System on Guam (comment period closes January 8, 2025); and a Final Programmatic EIS by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management for the New York Bight offshore wind area (review period closes November 25, 2024). No impact analysis appears in this notice; it is a procedural receipt document only.
