The NRC issued this Federal Register notice on September 10, 2024, announcing the issuance of Subsequent Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-4 and NPF-7 to Virginia Electric and Power Company (Dominion) for North Anna Power Station, Units 1 and 2, located on Lake Anna in Louisa County, Virginia. The licenses authorize continued operation at up to 2,940 megawatts thermal per unit. The accompanying Record of Decision relies on the final site-specific EIS (NUREG-1437, Supplement 7a, Second Renewal), which found that the adverse environmental impacts of subsequent license renewal are not so great as to make preserving that option unreasonable for energy planning decisionmakers.12
