FERC staff has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for Northern Natural Gas Company's Northern Lights 2025 Expansion Project (Docket No. CP24-60-000). Northern proposes to construct approximately 8.6 miles of pipeline extensions and associated equipment across Freeborn, Houston, and Washington Counties, Minnesota, and Monroe County, Wisconsin, to provide up to 46,064 dekatherms per day of firm winter natural gas transportation capacity. FERC staff concludes the project would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the human environment. Comments are due October 15, 2024.12
