NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries has prepared a draft management plan (DMP) and draft environmental assessment (DEA) for the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary (OCNMS), a 3,188-square-mile marine sanctuary off the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. The DMP replaces the 2011 management plan and proposes 15 action plans organized under four priority themes: collaborative management, research and monitoring, education and outreach, and resource conservation. No significant impacts to the human environment are expected from implementing the proposed management activities. NOAA is soliciting public comments on the DMP and DEA through July 13, 2026.1
