The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued Subsequent Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-24 and DPR-27 to NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC on September 29, 2025, authorizing continued operation of Point Beach Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2, pressurized-water reactors near Two Rivers, Wisconsin, at up to 1,800 MWt each. The NRC also issued a Record of Decision supported by the final supplemental environmental impact statement (NUREG-1437, Supplement 23, Second Renewal, August 2025), which concluded that the adverse environmental impacts of subsequent license renewal are not so great that preserving the option of renewal for energy-planning decisionmakers would be unreasonable.12
