The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission intends to prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA) for Shasta Meadows, Inc.'s application to surrender its exemption from licensing for the Prather Creek Project No. 6634, located on Prather Creek in Siskiyou County, California. The project has been non-operational since its power purchasing agreement expired in 2013, with no water flowing through the penstock. The exemptee proposes to leave all project works, including the powerhouse and generator, secured in place. The EA is targeted for completion by November 21, 2024, after which a 30-day public comment period will follow.12
