The Federal Aviation Administration and Bureau of Land Management, as Joint Lead Agencies, cancelled the suspended 2006 EIS for the Proposed Southern Nevada Supplemental Airport (SNSA) in Ivanpah Valley, Clark County, Nevada, and are initiating a new EIS and BLM Resource Management Plan Amendment. The proposed action is construction of a supplemental commercial service airport for the Las Vegas metropolitan area, including two runways (12,000 and 15,000 feet), a passenger terminal, and related infrastructure on approximately 5,752 acres of previously transferred federal land, with additional BLM land transfers pending a Record of Decision. Scoping meetings are scheduled for late July 2025, with written comments due by September 5, 2025.12
