The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service published a Notice of Availability for the Final Programmatic Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure (RFSI) Program, a nationwide grant program funding cooperative agreements to expand aggregation, processing, manufacturing, storage, transport, and distribution capacity for non-meat and non-poultry locally and regionally produced food products. AMS concluded no significant environmental impact will result, so no EIS is required. The PEA is designed as a tiering framework for project-specific NEPA reviews as individual grant decisions are made. No public comments were received on the draft PEA.
