This is a notice of a revised schedule for an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Ruedi Hydroelectric Project (FERC Project No. 3603), located on the Fryingpan River in Pitkin and Eagle counties, Colorado. The City of Aspen filed a non-capacity amendment of license application on September 25, 2024, proposing to add a second 1.2 MW turbine-generator unit, build a new powerhouse, extend the penstock, construct a concrete tailrace, add a bypass line, and modernize the electrical system, all within the existing project boundary. FERC staff revised the EA issuance date from August 5, 2026 to March 27, 2026, with a 30-day public comment period to follow.12
