The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service received an incidental take permit (ITP) application from ADH Rollins Court, LLC to authorize take of the federally threatened sand skink and blue-tailed mole skink incidental to construction of a residential development on 46 acres in Polk County, Florida. The applicant proposes to convert approximately 5.46 acres of occupied skink habitat and mitigate by purchasing 10.92 acres of conservation credits from a Service-authorized bank. The Service preliminarily determined the action qualifies as low-effect and may be eligible for a categorical exclusion under NEPA. Public comments are due February 13, 2025.1
