The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service received an application from Sunterra Communities, LLC to renew incidental take permit TE13200D-0 for the federally threatened sand skink in Lake County, Florida. The renewal extends the permit expiration by 5 years to June 14, 2029, to allow additional time to complete a residential and commercial development. No additional take or development is proposed; the existing habitat conservation plan remains unchanged. The Service preliminarily determined the renewal qualifies as low-effect and is eligible for a categorical exclusion under NEPA. Public comments are due December 2, 2024.1
