Eagle Creek Sartell Hydro, LLC filed a relicense application on February 28, 2023, for the 8.925-megawatt Sartell Hydroelectric Project (FERC Project No. 8315), located on the Mississippi River in Stearns and Benton Counties, Minnesota. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued a notice of intent to prepare an Environmental Assessment after staff determined, based on the record and comments filed on the Ready for Environmental Analysis notice, that licensing the project is not expected to constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment. The EA is targeted for issuance on February 26, 2027, and will be circulated for a 30-day public comment period.12
