Great Lakes Hydro America, LLC; Notice of Availability of Final Environmental Assessment

FERC's Office of Energy Projects has prepared a Final Environmental Assessment (FEA) for the Shelburne Hydroelectric Project, a hydroelectric facility on the Androscoggin River in Coos County, New Hampshire, proposed for license by Great Lakes Hydro America, LLC. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has issued a Notice of Availability of a Draft Environmental Assessment (DEA) for the Shelburne Hydroelectric Project (FERC Project No. 2300-052), applied for by Great Lakes Hydro America, LLC. The project is located on the Androscoggin River in Coos County, New Hampshire, with no federal land within the project boundary. FERC staff concludes that licensing the project with appropriate environmental protective measures would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the human environment. Comments are due within 30 days of the May 8, 2024 notice publication.
