Site-Wide Environmental Impact Statement for Continued Operation of Sandia National Laboratories, New Mexico and Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement for Enhanced Plutonium Facility Utilization at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

¶This is a procedural notice from the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) announcing changes to the NEPA review process for two separate documents: the Site-Wide EIS for Continued Operation of Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico (DOE/EIS-0556) and the Supplemental EIS for Enhanced Plutonium Facility Utilization at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, California (DOE/EIS-0547-S1). Citing regulatory changes under Executive Order 14154 and revised DOE NEPA implementing procedures effective April 2025, NNSA will skip publication of draft documents for public comment and will issue final documents simultaneously with Records of Decision. NNSA expects the final SNL/NM SWEIS and ROD in late 2025 and the final LLNL SEIS and ROD in early 2026.🔒1🔒2
