BOEM, NMFS, and USACE issued a joint Record of Decision on the final EIS for the SouthCoast Wind Project, an offshore wind energy facility proposed by SouthCoast Wind Energy LLC on OCS Lease Area OCS-A 0521 approximately 26 nautical miles south of Martha's Vineyard and 20 nautical miles south of Nantucket, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. DOI selected Alternative D ("Nantucket Shoals"), which removes six wind turbine generators from the COP proposal, leaving up to 147 turbines and five offshore substation platforms across 127,388 acres. The project interconnects to ISO-NE at Brayton Point, Somerset, Massachusetts, with a variant corridor to Falmouth. The ROD concludes the NEPA process for all three agencies.12
