FERC has issued a Notice of Availability of an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Southeast Compression Utility and Reliability Expansion Project (SECURE Project), proposed by Gulf South Pipeline Company, LLC under Docket No. CP25-219-000. The project involves modifications at three existing compressor stations and construction of one new compressor station across Madison Parish, Louisiana and Jasper, Forrest, and Hinds Counties, Mississippi. The SECURE Project would provide 280,000 dekatherms per day of firm transportation service to southeast markets. The EA concludes the project would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the human environment. Comments are due January 28, 2026.

FERC has issued a notice of schedule for preparation of an Environmental Assessment (EA) for Gulf South Pipeline Company's Southeast Compression Utility and Reliability Expansion (SECURE) Project (Docket No. CP25-219-000). The project involves modifications at three existing compressor stations and construction of one new compressor station across Madison Parish, Louisiana, and Jasper, Forrest, and Hinds Counties, Mississippi, to provide 280,000 Dth/d of firm natural gas transportation service. The EA is scheduled for issuance on December 29, 2025, followed by a 30-day comment period. Federal authorization decisions are due by March 29, 2026. Scoping comments raised concerns about noise, air quality, special status species, and water quality.
