The FAA issued a Notice of Availability for a Written Re-Evaluation of the 2022 Final Programmatic Environmental Assessment for the SpaceX Starship/Super Heavy Launch Vehicle Program at the Boca Chica Launch Site in Cameron County, Texas. The re-evaluation assessed four specific updates: changes to the forward heat shield interstage, revised sonic boom coverage, use of the deluge system during return-to-launch-site landings, and use of U.S. Coast Guard Safety Zones. The FAA concluded that the 2022 PEA data remains substantially valid, no significant environmental changes exist, and no new or supplemental environmental document is required to support the license modification.1
