FERC is preparing an Environmental Assessment for the Texas-Arkansas Power Project, filed by Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America LLC (Docket No. CP26-46-000). The project consists of modifications to Natural's existing Compressor Station 308 in Randolph County, Arkansas: abandoning nine reciprocating compressor units (30,850 combined horsepower), installing two new Solar Turbines Titan 130 centrifugal units (20,482 horsepower each), modifying plant yard piping and auxiliary equipment, and constructing a new permanent access road. The project supports a precedent agreement with Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation to transport up to 400,000 dekatherms per day to power natural gas-fired electric generation plants in northern Texas and Arkansas. The EA is scheduled for issuance September 4, 2026.12
