Texas Connector Pipeline LLC; Notice of Availability of the Environmental Assessment for the Proposed Texas Connector Amendment Project

FERC staff has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Texas Connector Amendment Project, proposed by Texas Connector Pipeline LLC in Jefferson and Orange Counties, Texas. The amendment modifies the previously authorized Texas Connector Project by eliminating the Southern Compressor Station, shortening the southern pipeline segment from 7.6 to 1.4 miles, expanding the Orangefield Compressor Station from 40 to 82.4 acres with increased compression capacity, lengthening the northern pipeline segment from 26.6 to 29.6 miles, and proposing dredging of Big Hill Bayou for water access. Comments are due by April 21, 2025.

Texas Connector Pipeline, LLC; Notice of Schedule for the Preparation of an Environmental Assessment for the Texas Connector Amendment Project

FERC is preparing an Environmental Assessment for the Texas Connector Amendment Project, an amendment to natural gas pipeline and compression facilities in Jefferson and Orange Counties, Texas. Texas Connector Pipeline, LLC filed the application on August 12, 2024, under Section 7(c) of the Natural Gas Act. The amendment eliminates the Southern Compressor Station, shortens the southern pipeline segment from 7.6 to 1.4 miles, expands the Orangefield Compressor Station from 40 to 82.4 acres with four larger turbine compressors, extends the northern pipeline segment to 29.6 miles, and proposes dredging Big Hill Bayou for water access. The EA is scheduled for issuance on March 21, 2025, with a 30-day comment period.
