Colorado Interstate Gas Company, L.L.C.; Notice of Availability of the Environmental Assessment for the Proposed Totem Enhanced Deliverability Project

FERC staff has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the 2024 Totem Enhanced Deliverability Project, proposed by Colorado Interstate Gas Company, L.L.C. (CIG) in Adams County, Colorado. CIG seeks authorization to install six new injection/withdrawal wells, replace and reclassify pipeline gathering facilities, and modify the existing Totem Compressor Station to provide 53,700 Dth/d of increased deliverability through injection of 1 billion cubic feet of additional base gas into the Totem Natural Gas Storage Field. FERC staff concludes the project would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment. Comments are due by December 9, 2024.

Colorado Interstate Gas Company, LLC; Notice of Schedule for the Preparation of an Environmental Assessment for the Totem Enhanced Deliverability Project

FERC is preparing an Environmental Assessment for the Totem Enhanced Deliverability Project in Adams County, Colorado, proposed by Colorado Interstate Gas Company, LLC. CIG filed its application on April 8, 2024, seeking a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to modify the existing Totem natural gas storage field by adding six new injection/withdrawal wells, replacing and upgrading gathering pipeline segments, modifying the Totem Compressor Station, and injecting approximately 1 billion cubic feet of additional base gas to increase maximum withdrawal rate by about 50 million standard cubic feet per day. The EA is scheduled for issuance on November 8, 2024, with a federal authorization decision deadline of February 6, 2025.
