Moon Lake Electric Association, Inc. filed on December 31, 2024 to surrender its FERC license for the Uintah Hydroelectric Project No. 190, located on the Uinta River, Pole Creek, and Big Springs near Neola, Duchesne County, Utah, on lands of the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation of the Ute Indian Tribe and the Ashley National Forest. The licensee proposes to remove certain project features (scour protection weir, elevated pipeline, Pole Creek diversion structure, substation, and two operator houses) and transfer the remaining features to the Ute Indian Tribe. FERC staff intends to prepare an EA by October 20, 2025, to be issued for a 30-day comment period.12
