Northwest Pipeline, LLC; Notice of Availability of the Environmental Assessment for the Proposed; Wild Trail Project

FERC has prepared an environmental assessment (EA) for the Wild Trail Project, proposed by Northwest Pipeline, LLC (Docket No. CP25-497-000). The project would construct and operate the Daggett Compressor Station, adjacent to the existing Clay Basin Meter Station in Daggett County, Utah, including one gas-fired turbine with 11,110 nominal horsepower, 24-inch suction and discharge yard piping, and minor modifications to the Clay Basin Meter Station. It would add 57,955 dekatherms per day of northbound firm transportation capacity. The EA concludes the project would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management served as a cooperating agency. Comments are due by January 14, 2026.

The Wild Trail Project, under FERC docket CP25-497, proposes construction of the Daggett Compressor Station (Daggett CS) adjacent to the existing Clay Basin Meter Station in Daggett County, Utah. The project includes one low-NOx gas-fired turbine compressor unit of 11,110 nominal horsepower, 24-inch suction and discharge yard piping connecting to Northwest Pipeline's existing 26-inch line, and auxiliary facilities including a 140-foot communication tower. A scoping notice issued July 9, 2025 drew one comment from the Public Lands Policy Coordinating Office noting the site lies within the Uintah Sage Grouse Management Area and recommending a winter construction restriction. An Environmental Assessment is forthcoming.
